Vulture vrs. rough leg

Dark morph rough legs and turkey vultures can easily be confused. They are black with white parts of the wings. I got a picture of a dark morph rough leg, and a vulture to show a comparison. I took these on the same day.

  1. Good post! I get vultures confused with eagles all the time when they first come back in the spring! My husband can't understand - but once I get used to them taking over the skies again...it is much easier to recognize them. We don't have RLH at the same time the vultures are here (unless they cross paths during migration) so that helps ;-)

  2. You do realize that most (heck, all) of your pictues are remarkable?
