My third try at the kestrels paid off. I ended up getting some nice shots. Also 2 short eared Owls played a nice surprise. They have been found here twice in the last two years, so i feel happy that i found them. I will post those later. Anyways the kestrels! This park is located on the hudson river. There are many migrants that follow the river and land here. So, there are usually lots of kestrels. If there are 50 kestrels that come here and go, one will have to be a good bird that lets me get some good shots. Even though i got some good shots, my card filled up right when he was 20 feet away. Urrggg never perfect
These are very nice Kestrel shots. Did you also get to see the owls?

ReplyDeleteLove the Kestrels! Can't wait to see your short-eared Owls. I always carry extra memory cards! and batteries too. Hate to be caught with a bird in view and not prepared. You did good with these BIF shots.
