Vermont- Black-throated blue

Here are some more warbler shots from vermont. The black throated blue warblers were everywhere. Just like the chesnut sided warbler he was very cooperative and moved around giving me a back shot. I dont know if i will be able to beat these pictures in the future.
I just got back from camping, got some good bunting prairie warbler and field sparrow pictures.

  1. I'm eatin' my heart out here, Birdboy! You are right...it'll be hard to match the likes of this kind of picture! To get that eye to show up so well on a black face ain't easy! What an excellent image of this beautiful bird - I am JEALOUS!!

  2. Beautiful bird. It's a shame I never took the time to get into birding or taking pictures when I lived in VT. So many opportunities missed..so glad you are there to show me.
I remember all the deer on the side hill across the road from the Greem Mountain Raceway. Horses and deer were all I was thinking about then.

  3. Super photo - I've barely seen the BTBW, alto I hear them everywhere. As for getting a photo, not even close. Congrats!
